A woman’s grandfather searches for her father’s remains and uncovers the story of an idealistic young teacher from Tarragona, uncovering buried memories of the Spanish Civil War. Composed by Nana, Manuel de Falla. It’s too hard for me to add anything to emit1717’s post, who did a great job with it. They are my exact thoughts. I saw this film today at the new palace complex in Sydney, where there were less than 10 people! It was hard to keep my eyes dry from sadness, but also from joy at witnessing such a work. Oh, I need twice as many characters! As a French child, I was very good at Spanish, so I also liked the language, which was not fast and clear enough to understand at least a little without reading subtitles! 'you're also learning Spanish, and that might be another reason to see this beautiful story, which I know is also a true story.
