CIA operative Joe tries to balance his personal and professional lives as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war against terrorism-based activity, etc…. I was compelled to write a review because the writing, acting, and action are so good! I’m a film/show reviewer and viewer who approaches things from the ‘glass half full’ theory. Which means I look at the positives first, then the negatives.
Great acting, dialogue, action!
I either like it or I don’t. There’s always a middle ground. "Lioness" Zoe Saldana is not only far from average, but has it all! Both are America’s defense against global terrorism.
Both were top notch
What’s also helpful for the viewer is that even though this is a cable TV series (Paramount), it has a big movie budget. streamlined, practical, and flawless execution of production value. As I mentioned in the title, it has all the excitement of "24" and "Columbia"! Remember the TV show and the movie?
It works well for me
I have nothing against family issues and teen drama. As a parent, I get it. Jo’s (Zoe Saldana) family is the best in the world. (I hope not, but I can see how it will) Obviously, I haven’t finished the series yet.
And I shouldn’t be writing this review either
"Lioness" is so good and I highly recommend it. This is one of the first reviews I’ve done and I have no issues with the content. My other reviewers for past classics and well-made movies/TV shows are spot on. I haven’t checked, but I really want a second season of "Lioness"!!!
