The site known as Beaver Bank Village has a long history and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, a fire station, a school, a church, a store, etc. (all demolished by 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s. Only paved streets and alleys remain, and a fake town has been built on top of them.

The preview seemed like a mix of a few different shows like Wayward Pines, Lost, and a bit of Under the Dome. I expected it to have a vague plot when I saw that it was produced by the same creators as Lost, but the plot is solid and the characters are likable.
