Struggling with his dual identity, failed comedian Arthur Fleck meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn, while incarcerated in Arkham State Hospital. Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson, and writer-director Todd Phillips share what scared them most about working on the musical sequel . The film’s subtitle, “Folie a Deux,” translates to “The Madness of Two” in French. This initially led to speculation that Harley Quinn would appear in the film, which was soon confirmed. The name Folie a Deux comes from 19th-century French psychiatrists Charles Lasègue and Jules Falret.

The term was coined to refer to two or more people who share the same madness or delusion. The foreman of the jury refers to “People of New York” instead of Gotham City. This is because New York State is the plaintiff in the criminal trial, and this version of Gotham City is apparently located in New York State (most versions place Gotham in New Jersey). The film was a complete failure

Merrily We Roll Along, written by Eddie Cantor, Murray Mencher, and Charles Tobias. This was a complete waste of time. As a huge Joker fan, I was expecting a strong comeback five years later.
Save yourself the time and money
Every time I thought the film was getting better, it got worse. Joaquin Phoenix’s performance was excellent, but the script was terrible. Through no fault of its own, Joker Folie A Deux is considered one of the worst sequels ever. The film felt more like a showcase for Lady Gaga’s singing and acting skills, which is not great. I believe this could be the biggest box office flop of 2024.
