No chance of a job, no flat, no car and no savings. Then I had this crazy, crazy idea to write a novel. ‘Everyone said you must be joking or angry because the odds of it even getting published are hundreds to one, even thousands.’ A few weeks after its release, the film rights were snapped up. Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars vied to play the Jackal in the 1973 film, but the role went to then-unknown Edward Fox because director Fred Zinnemann thought he could blend in with the crowd.
Lynch is completely miscast
(airmail). As featured in Graham Norton and guests: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). Her acting is terrible. Why did she get this role when there are so many actresses who are better at it?
It baffles me
Her character is not interesting, just another role of an obsessive agent. Eddie Redmayne can do it all, his acting range is impressive from stage plays, musicals, movies. He never disappoints. In this role, he is solid in anything he does.
Not for Agent MI6
The plot is interesting and engaging…..funny how we root for the Jackal… The setting of the series is impressive, and the plot is high-octane exciting. Not comparable to the original, this is a worthy adaptation to today’s times.
