Call Mickey Haller
Chronology
Need a lawyer? He runs his law firm out of his Lincoln and is ready to hit the gas. As he moves through Los Angeles, he handles cases while juggling a personal life that includes being a father and having two ex-wives.
Mickey Haller has several cars, all with personalized California license plates with legal terms
Originally set up with CBS for a series commitment in 2020, it was canceled just before the first episode was filmed due to COVID. Now, it has been picked up by Netflix for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, The Brass Verdict. The personalized California license plates allow for a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but all of Mickey’s plates have at least eight.

The Lincoln Lawyer was actually better than I expected. I never read the books it’s based on, but I watched the Matthew McConaughey movie and thought it was pretty good, but not worth making into a TV series. I honestly expected it to be some low-budget knockoff.
I couldn’t have been more wrong
I actually liked it more than the movie. I wasn’t going to watch it until I saw all the great reviews and found out it was one of the most watched shows of the year on Netflix. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo does a good job in the lead role, and Becky Newton, Neve Campbell, Angus Sampson, and others do fantastic jobs in supporting roles.
